Appearance

When choosing blades, one of the best forms comes in natural wood because it is durable and of the best quality. The Butterfly Viscaria is the best table tennis blade designed with the best quality materials. The thickness of the blade is about 5.7-5.8mm, and it had a more gentle touch and a slightly softer feel on the hands.

The blade produces minimal dissipation of energy during play and has great stability. It is just the right weight and gives players easy control. Anyone using this Butterfly blade will enjoy using it to play both offensive and defensive strategies.

Composition

The Butterfly Viscaria comes with five layers of wood and 2 layers of aryl carbon. It is designed for players wanting to play fast attacks using spins. The blade’s grip has a comfortable feel, and it has soft touch.

Handle Feeling

It doesn’t matter what skill level you are; you will find it comfortable using the Butterfly Viscaria. It has been designed to suit your holding style, and the blade comes with a perfect handle. The grip of the paddle makes it easy for you to swing fast and with easy force. It will improve your performance, and you won’t need to expend a lot of energy. The Butterfly Viscaria is designed with a slightly larger FL handle. The flair handle is about 100mm which gives better control.

Control & Stability

It is easy playing counter-attacking and mid-range style using this Butterfly blade. The Butterfly Viscaria is one of the Alc(arylate carbon) series and is the best quality bat from this company. It weighs 90g which feels light and gives players more control. The Butterfly Viscaria is flexible with a stiffness rate of 8.1. It is easy doing lots of spins using this bat.

Speed

One of the features of the Butterfly Viscaria is that you can make fast and aggressive attacks using the blade. The wood and carbon combo of the paddle gives it a larger sweet spot, so it sounds nice when playing. It can make powerful shots with incredible ease.

Serve

Even when you throw the tennis ball very high from the table, the swiftness of the blade is effortless. Also, because the paddles have a moderate stiffness, the spin created during a serve is still powerful.

Return of Serve

This blade is great for making counter-attacks, and the shot it produces is quite balanced. The Butterfly Viscaria has a hardness close to the fiber, and it makes the speed of the balls spin perfectly. You can use it to do return stroke-like fast attacks and topspin.

Forehand Drive

The blade can make short-distance shots perfectly. You don’t need to apply too much power to play a shot, which makes it great for forehand strokes. You can use this butterfly blade to do perfect forehand drive strokes, push and loop. The paddle is also strong enough to produce enough speed for a mid-far distance shot. It has a decent dwell time.

Backhand Drive

The backhand side of the blade allows more control of your gameplay. The Butterfly Viscaria is suited for players wanting to make a compact stroke like the flick, push, or even backhand drive stroke. The blade produces sufficient power for this purpose. You would only need to exert medium power to make your shot.

Who is suitable for Viscaria?

The blade is great for topspins and produces enough power while giving you control. If you plan on training consistently for long hours, the Butterfly Viscaria should be your choice. It is also designed for newbies who can learn control using this Butterfly blade. You can use it to learn beginner techniques. It also fits players who prefer to play counter-attack shots.

The Best Rubbers with Viscaria

When considering the right rubber to match this Butterfly Viscaria blade, you will need to prioritize control and spin. The bat doesn’t select rubber types because it is easy to penetrate.

However, slightly softer rubber will be preferable for the Butterfly Viscaria blade. To get the best results, you should use the forehand and backhand rubbers for your Viscaria blade. We recommend the forehand rubber (FH) types like the Butterfly’s Tenergy 05 and the Dignics 05 rubbers. For the backhand rubber (BH), the Tenergy 64 or Dignics 64 will be a good option.

You can also use the Butterfly Rozena, a BH rubber. However, it does not have the speed level as the Tenergy and Dignics series but will give you more control of the bat.

How to identify whether it is real or fake?

Like every other sports product, there are many fakes of Butterfly table tennis equipment sold today. However, it is easy to tell if a Butterfly bat is fake or real. They are usually for sale at the company’s website, where you can get your original blade.

The Butterfly Viscaria paddle can be delivered to you in any part of the world, whether in Malaysia, Singapore, India, or Japan. You can get confused differentiating the fake from the original if you’re only paying attention to the logo.

The only way you can be sure you have the right product is by checking the serial number. The first letter of the serial number includes the year of fabrication. You should also look for the product’s tag because the original Butterfly products made before 2009 come in black tags, while products made after come with a silver tag.

  1. I’m sorry but there is no way a 130Euro Arylate Carbon blade should be used by beginners. Solid stroke technique should be developed an 5ply all wood blade first before moving on to something like this
